Now is the time to book your senior photoshoot class of 2018 girls! Get in touch and let’s talk.

Victoria K. {Senior Photoshoot: Randolph NJ}

There’s the phrase a ray of sunshine, well Victoria is far more than that. A ray is far too underwhelming. I’d say a bucket full of sunshine is more accurate to describe her. Anything I asked she’d respond in this sing-songy way, Okaaaay.

At the beginning of a photoshoot it sometimes takes a few minutes for the girls to warm up and get relaxed in front of the camera. Not this one! It may be because of her theatre background but I’m more inclined to think it’s ingrained in her DNA. That’s just who she is, easy, breezy, happy and so much fun to be around. She’s off to USC this fall and I can assure her future room mate that she’s hit the lottery with Victoria!

I love, love, love this image directly above! It’s so rare to capture a teen girl like this and for it to be exactly who she is. Keep on shining Victoria! To see Victoria’s close friends’ also had photoshoots with me take a look here and here.

When was the last time you were on a swingset?

Happy Spring! I think it’s finally here in northern NJ. It was a long wait and apparently my Paige P. Senior Model Reps had cabin fever:) They saw a brook and the shoes came off.  I set them loose on a playground and, well you can see the results. I couldn’t get them off the swings until I pointed out the monkey bars. Not even kidding. It’s going to be a very good year with these girls and this isn’t even half of them. So. Much. Fun! Get outside and play.

I have a few openings left for this summer. Give me a call to book a summer photoshoot while you can.

Living in color.

All it took was thirteen high school junior and senior girls, fresh white tees and handfuls of color powder. I have to be honest, I come up with these shoots (last year it was mud puddles) and I’m not quite sure if everyone is going to be as excited as I am.

The text read “wear a plain white tee, old pair of jeans, we’ll go barefoot and oh! bring a change of clothes. This is going to be a messy one!

I thought I’d get a lot of questions asking what we’re doing, but nothing. I think it’s safe to say I have yet another amazing bunch of free-spirited, adventurous girls on this year’s team. Take a look.

Why I laugh and cry at this photoshoot.

This photoshoot has become an annual event where I start out laughing and inevitably end up crying. I pull together “my girls” who I’ve been working with all year long and my new squad for the upcoming year. I love getting them together because, although I never meant for this to happen, the current girls end up doing a little bit of coaching and put the new girls more at ease. It’s always a silly photoshoot that is all about laughing and letting loose. But then we run out of puddles, color powder (more on that in a future post) and the photoshoot ends.  I say goodbye to my class of 2017 girls; as I said, I inevitably end up crying. I’ve watched them change before me whether they realize it or not and  I really do feel like they’re “my girls”. It’s bittersweet, it reminds me that time is fleeting and I think I’m more emotional than ever since I also have my first child going off to college. So to Bri, Johnna, Nicole F., Nicole W., Natalia and Taylor: keep in touch, let me know when you’re leaving for school and come visit me on breaks. xoxo, Paige.

What comes from inspiration. Part 2.

To do what you love with the ones that you love is a gift. And for that reason alone this particular teen photoshoot will be one of my forever favorites; it included my daughter. I posted this video that my assistant, Casey, created a few weeks ago. Below are a few of my favorite images from that photoshoot.

What you need to know about campus social life series{2}

Delaney is a sophomore at Tulane and LOVES it!

High School pictures, sunlit, boho style

HOW I MET MY CLOSEST FRIENDS: We lived on the same floor freshman year!

DORM ADVICE: Don’t stress about it. Communal living is a lot more fun/less gross than you anticipate, and whether you love or hate your roommate doesn’t make or break your experience freshman year.

DORM, GREEK, OTHER: None… all of NOLA.

FAVORITE CLUB: ??? like a club to dance in or be involved in LOL!! need clarification!

A TYPICAL WEEKEND IS: A perfect balance of studying and exploring all New Orleans has to offer.

LATE NIGHT CRAVING: Always changing! But right now, the cheddar and sour cream ruffles. They sound disgusting but are DIVINE.

MOST FUN CAMPUS TRADITIONS: Crawfest for sure (the largest student-run music festival in the country)!!!

FAVORITE DISCOVERY ON/OFF CAMPUS:  On campus: The Woldenberg Art Center’s ever-changing gallery. off campus: that’s too hard! I truly love New Orleans so much and there are so many magical places hidden in this city.

STUDY TIP:  TIME. MANAGEMENT. Breaking work into small sections instead of studying 2 nights before a huge exam is a life saver.

SECRET STUDY SPOT: LBC quiet room

BEST CUP OF COFFEE: oh god. literally everywhere around here. Mojo Coffee House, Rue De La Course, Stumptown Coffee, and Willa Jean are a few of my favorites.

MOST RECENT GOOGLE SEARCH: llamas vs. alpacas. (I might have to go back to Delaney and ask her a little bit more about this one:)!!

MOST USED APP: Camera roll and VSCO.

HOMESICKNESS: I always miss my family and my boyfriend, but Facetime has been a lifesaver.

SKYPE OR FACEBOOK: see above 🙂

LAST TIME I DID LAUNDRY: HA!

Nicole also goes to Tulane, also loves it AND has a lot of different answers. Stay tuned for that one! I’ve got a lot more of these coming up make sure you don’t miss any by subscribing in the upper left hand corner.
